A sweeping staircase, 12-foot-high ceilings and a stunning view of the harbor from the home’s cupola drew Beth and Chris Calitri to this 1857 house in the seaside town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. They recognized the home’s potential even though its dark wood and paint, old carpeting and inconsistent moldings gave it a worn and dated feel. They were eager to settle their family into the house, especially after having lived abroad and moved several times. They set to work transforming and personalizing the space with contemporary and classic design elements to create their forever home.

Coastal Living Idea Cottage
Summer is coming, it is inevitable . Although, I am not sure that winter really came to Cleveland Ohio. We had a very mild winter and now today it is 70 outside and it is on March 8.
I am not crazy about the finish on the cabinets. I would redo them.
The exterior of this house doesn't reflect the fact that it is at the ocean. It could have been a home in your neighborhood. I wish that it had been more beachy, but I love the interior. It gave you the feel that you are on vacation even if this is your permanent residence.

I like the touches of red!
